ASL has recently worked on the Crossrail project.  We have been requested to provide verification of the installation of gas protection membranes to ancillary buildings forming part of the construction project.  ASL has worked closely with the site operator and qualified professional gas membrane installers to complete a difficult element of the development.  In completing this project ASL staff have gained valuable experience of major projects and furthered our portfolio of gas membrane verification and validation projects throughout the UK.

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Ashley Mehaffy to Geo-Environmental Scientist.  Ashley has been with ASL since 2015 and has been promoted as a result of his continued hard work on ASL projects.  Ashley has particularly excelled in the management of our numerous ground gas protection verification projects that ASL are involved with throughout the UK.

This is an overdue post to welcome our newest recruit George Roberts as an Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer.  As our youngest staff member George has joined us straight from the University of Leicester after receiving a First Class Degree in Geology.  George is working on both contaminated land and geotechnical investigation projects

ASL is celebrating its 12th year of trading with another successful year of growth.  We have looked to consolidate our current client base and seek out opportunities with new clients which has enabled us to grow the company for another year leaving us well placed to tackle the potential economic uncertainties that may be ahead.  Our main business streams remain in site investigation and consultancy services for contaminated land, property development and geotechnics and we have developed additional services including gas protection validation and verification and materials management planning and support to complement our primary services.

We are looking ahead to a year of further growth and facing up to the challenges that may be ahead.

ASL has recently renewed its membership with Constructionline and SSIP accreditation with CHAS.  This follows a detailed review of the company’s health and safety and management systems to ensure our working protocols and operations are undertaken in as safe and efficient a manner as possible.  We have a continuing commitment to maintaining a high level of health and safety in all our work through staff training and subcontractor accreditation.
